Don't Dream Your Life ...

Live Your Dream.

This thought is so who I am. I am such a dreamer. I try to live my dreams everyday. I will admit this isn't always easy. It has brought me to tears many times along the way. My friends and family can vouch for this. I still wouldn't change any of it for a second of it ... not one second.

It is this sentiment that lead to my most recent purchase.
It is a beautiful necklace from Sima Gilady. She is an independent designer who loves her family, her job and her life. She also believes in the power of positive thinking.
I know this because I read her profile.
I like to know a little bit about the people I am purchasing from.
It makes every item I own special.

Arrival.

Inside.

A close up.

The saying on this beautiful silver disk written in Hebrew:

Don't Dream Your Life, Live Your Dream.

On me.

The necklace hasn't even been in my possession for a week and has already caused conversations to be interrupted by someone reaching out to touch it, tell me how beautiful it is and ask where I got it.

a gift.

Thank so much Sima.
I love my necklace
and
Thank you for the lovely gift.
I love my key chain.

It really is mine, it has my name on it.
I put my keys on it right away.

You can purchase this necklace from Sima Gilady through Smashing Darling.

Flower Brooches

Wanted to share the new flower brooches that were recently added to the line.
I have so much fun making them.

As all who know me know...
I am happiest sitting in the middle of an explosion of fabric, feathers, beads, yarns, crystals, buttons with colors and textures swirling and twirling everywhere. Like a little kid so happy, quiet, and content absorbing every single last fray of thread.

They were kind of inspired by Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book.
A delicious, wicked little book.

Fall Cleaning

Before ...

After ...

Felt so good to take everything out of the closet, organize it, and put it all back. I hope it lasts more that 2 weeks. I seem to remember doing this in the spring. I'm not really sure how it gets so out of control. The concept is really quite simple... fold all the new fabric neatly and put it away. HA! Clearly this is not my forte ... but I get an 'E' for effort, don't I? Even on a bad day, this studio is no where near as cluttered as the the old studio. I must be improving with age.

Sad that the market is over ...

This picture taken during the first market before I even had my name on the sign
and
before we had our tent.

I will miss everyone this Sunday.
the silver lining...
Sunday's off.
